50 mg of medroxyprogesterone acetate.
Indications.
For the prevention of estrus (estrus) in anestrual female dogs and cats in which gestation, lambing or ovariohysterectomy are associated with a high degree of risk to the life of the animal or from which litters are undesirable or unnecessary (with the exception of bitches intended from the very beginning for breeding). The injection is performed only in the second half of the anestrus period (between estrus).
Application and doses.
Do subcutaneous injections – 1 ml during the absence of estrus, repeat at 6-month intervals in dogs and 4-month intervals in cats.
Contraindications
Depo-promon is not used in bitches before the first estrus and during pregnancy; in animals that have had diseases of the genitourinary system in the past; with prolonged or unusual vaginal discharge; with violations of the regularity of periods of estrus or with nymphomania; with a false pregnancy or a false pregnancy in the past; with breast tumors that can be stimulated by progestational activity; with other detected pathologies of the endocrine or reproductive system.
