Pharmacological properties:
The world’s first anthelmintic of a new generation, moxidectin does not belong to the avermectin group, acts for 84 days, protects against encysted larvae of small strongylids, is safe for pregnant and lactating mares and foals, and is easy to use. A long-acting antiparasitic drug with a broad spectrum of activity for horses and ponies, belonging to the milbemycin group. Due to lipophilicity, when using the drug in the adipose tissue, a depot is created from which the active substance is released gradually, therefore, in comparison with ivermectins, Equest acts 2 times longer. Equest acts on the imaginal and larval stages that parasitize animals, and is effective for ivermectin resistance. Only Equest kills cysts of small strongylids, providing reliable protection for 3 months.

Indications:
Nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract, subcutaneous tissue, serous membranes (Parascaris equorum, Oxiuris equi, Habronema spp., Strongiloides westeri, Trichostrongylus axei, Setaria spp., Parafilaria multipappilosa, Onchocerca spp., S. equatinus, A. edentis D. vulgaris, A. edentis , Triodontophorus spp., Cyatostomum spp.), Arachnoses (scabies and ixodid mites) and entomoses (lice, larvae of gastrointestinal gadflies).
Doses and method of administration:
Orally at a dose of 0.4 mg moxidectin per 1 kg of live weight, when using a calibrated applicator, one label per 25 kg of live weight or 1 syringe – 525 kg w / v, once 2 to 4 times a year.
Recommended application scheme:
- 4 times a year – complete elimination of parasites.
- 2 times a year – parasites are under control.
- Before going out to the pastures and after stalling.
- It is possible for foals from 4 months of age.
Caveats:
Slaughter of an animal for food purposes 32 days after the last injection of the drug.
