Indications:
Acute and chronic otitis media caused by bacteria, fungi and / or parasites.
Eczema, allergic or ulcerative changes in the external ear canal.
Neomycin is a bactericidal antibiotic against gram-negative and gram-positive pathogenic microflora.
Polymyxin is a bactericidal antibiotic against gram-negative bacteria, most active against Pseudomonas.
Sulfiram is an organic sulfur derivative with antiparasitic (Otodectes cynotis) and fungicidal effects (Pitysporum, Candida)
Dexamethasone is a glucocorticoid that has anti-inflammatory, decongestant and antipruritic effects.
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic.
Dosage and Application:
Shake well before use. Otospectrin should be administered once or twice a day. The amount of solution to be put into the ear depends on the size of the animal and the stage of the infection.
– Small dogs (up to 5 kg) and cats: 3 drops
– Medium sized dogs (5-10 kg): 5 drops
– Large dogs (over 10 kg): 10 drops.
Treatment should be continued for at least a week in cases of acute otitis media, and for a longer period in chronic otitis media.
